O U R H I S T O R Y

To become what BESOAIN WINES is today, tenacity has played an important role: in the first harvest, in 2004, we only had a 2,500-litre vat, which was loaded by hand with a bucket, and only 9 barrels that were selected and toasted personally by Miguel.

After 17 years, the winery has a capacity of 60,000 liters and 250 barrels and has grown from selling its wines directly to acquaintance and friends, to regularly exporting to various countries on four continents and having a branch established in Germany.

Miguel Besoain is an oenologist trained at the University of Burgundy, France. He worked for 10 years in France and Germany, resulting in the position of Technical Director at a large winery in Germany ́s Palatine region.
In 2009 he decided to return to Chile to operate the family vineyard and fulfill his personal dream: to build up his own winery and produce high class wines in the Maipo Valley.
His distinctive hallmark is his focus on maximizing the raw material and dedicating himself to each step of the production of a good wine.

de Borgoña. Trabajó durante 10 años en Francia y Alemania, culminando como Director Técnico en una gran bodega en Pfalz.

En 2009 decide regresar a Chile para trabajar el viñedo familiar y cumplir su sueño personal:
montar su propia bodega y producir vinos de alta gama en el Valle del Maipo.

Su sello distintivo es el foco en potenciar a la máxima expresión la materia prima que llega a sus manos y poner toda su entrega en cada etapa de la elaboración de un buen vino.
